Take A Trip to the Beaver State
Oregon was the 33rd state to join the United States on February 14, 1859. It is located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, with the Columbia River delineating much of Oregon's northern boundary with Washington, while the Snake River delineates much of its eastern boundary with Idaho. The 42° north parallel delineates the southern boundary with California and Nevada. The western boundary is formed by the Pacific Ocean. Also, Oregon really is known as The Beaver State, but not because of an abundance of hot naked ladies running around as this token might have you believe. This token is one of many 'Head Quarters' that parody the Statehood Quarters program from the United States Mint that ran from 1999 until 2008, (2009 if you count the D.C. and U.S. Territories).
